Hurricane Sandy-devastated family gets a Christmas miracle
12/25/2012The Troy family of Long Beach, N.Y., was desperate after Hurricane Sandy destroyed their home. One son, who'd nearly died once before from his life-threatening, neuromuscular disease had lost a wheelchair. Another daughter had lost all her toys and was sobbing, devastated. Mom had lost her childhood home to the flood after she had just finished rebuilding it.
Dad promised he would fix everything but had no idea how – until Donald Denihan showed up. The Massapequa, N.Y., businessman, who'd survived three near-death experiences, had set up a fund called "God is Good," figuring after the third save he must be here for a reason. With his generosity, the Troys' home is being rebuilt and the little girl, along with her two brothers, will have presents by a Christmas tree this year. [Source]
