Among scary depictions of Sandy's wrath, a few much-needed laughs
10/30/2012Amidst terrifying and haunting photos of the flooded streets, surging waves, floating cars, darkened cities and almost unfathomable destruction wrought by Hurricane Sandy, the Internet has also brought us a few images that allowed us to laugh. For instance, the Statue of Liberty with her skirt blown up a la Marilyn Monroe in "The Seven Year Itch"; a scuba diver making his way through a flooded Times Square subway station (yeah, it's fake); the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from "Ghostbusters" randomly joining the hurricane action. Enjoy the laughs; we all need 'em.
