10/29/2012Still think the weather bunnies on the news channels are overhyping Sandy's size and power? Check out the latest time-lapse animation of the massive, swirling hurricane put together with snapshots taken from an NOAA satellite on Sunday — one per minute from 7:15 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Weather geeks call this animation a "super rapid scan" and note the beauty of the sun highlighting the cloud structures. As for the rest of us? One look and we're boarding up the windows and double-checking that we've renewed our flood insurance.
