Ikea cardboard digital camera looks fake, but it's real
5/1/2012Swedish furniture retailer Ikea is a testament to the popularity of affordable/disposable furniture -- one survey said 10 percent of Europeans were conceived on its low-cost beds -- what about electronics? Witness this eco-friendly, new Ikea-made disposable cardboard camera, which debuted as part of a press pack for journalists in Europe. It may look rinky-dink, but it's capable of storing up to 40 images, which can be downloaded to your computer via that USB connection on the upper-left corner. It won't be sold at stores, but will be given away as promotions in select outlets worldwide. This one came preassembled, thus no concern about putting it together and discovering two screws are ominously left over.
Would you buy one for the right price?
