Runners in Utah road race were competing to win a new baby9/18/2012
600 runners got up and laced their sneakers on Saturday in the hopes they'd cross the finish line and win … a new baby? The participants in the Footsteps for Fertility 5K (yay, alliteration!) were all entered into a raffle to receive a round of in-vitro fertilization. The prize — valued at over $10,000 — was donated by the Utah Fertility Center and pretty much beats the T-shirt and plastic trophy we've gotten after our races. Brian and Ramsi Stoker were the event's big winners. "I always knew I wanted to be a mom but I wanted to wait until we were, like, completely ready," Ramsi said. "This is our lucky day." [Source]
