Inauguration lunch menu features America's tastiest creatures

The inaugural lunch menu has been presented to the press, and it’s something else. The first course is steamed lobsters from the shores of new England, second course is hickory-grilled bison from the plains with a huckleberry reduction, and dessert is, of course, apple pie. It’s like they rounded up all the truly American creatures from sea to shining sea and then slaughtered them and seasoned them to perfection. Except for bald eagles, although we wouldn’t put bald eagle nachos past the kind of  crazy chefs who are pairing the apple pie with sour cream ice cream. Who knew patriotism could be so tasty?
