Incredible time-lapse captures three years of northern lights

"See the northern lights" is on most people's bucket list. But if you don't think you can face trekking that far into a frozen wasteland, filmmaker Chad Blakley has produced a stunning solution. For three years he photographed the aurora from Sweden's Abisko National Park, and he's stitched the pics together into a truly stunning time-lapse video. "The opportunity to spend so much time in such an incredible environment capturing this phenomenon has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life," he gushes, suggesting that making the icy journey to see the northern lights is definitely worth it.
