Lawyer: Indian gang rape victim should blame herself for the attack

A 23-year-old Indian woman was brutally raped on a New Delhi bus in December and later died from her injuries. In a final indignity, the lawyer for three of the men accused of violating her has said that she and her male companion are to blame for the attack. "Until today I have not seen a single incident or example of rape with a respected lady," Manohar Lal Sharma said. The victim, whose name has not been released by Indian authorities, was attacked for more than two hours by a group of six men before being dropped on a deserted stretch of road.
