Inmates sue beer and wine companies for $1 billion
1/4/2013"If I was not an alcoholic, the shooting would never have happened," Jeremy Brown stated in an affidavit. He and four other inmates in Idaho are representing themselves in a $1 billion lawsuit against several alcohol companies. Anheuser-Busch, Coors, Miller Brewing and Jim Beam Whiskey are being accused by these men of fueling their crimes — which include manslaughter, aggravated battery and grand theft — because of the addictive nature of alcohol. The fact that millions of people use these substances every day without incident might make it a difficult case. Of course, if it does go through, there will probably some lawsuits against Jose Cuervo for pain and suffering caused by all those scandalous Spring Break photos on Facebook. [Source]
