Instagram users worry after Facebook snags it for $1B
4/9/2012A picture is worth a thousand words, and a bunch of photos are worth a billion dollars, according to Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg announced via his Facebook timeline today that the company is buying Instagram for $1 billion in cash and shares. Zuckerberg promised not to change anything about Instagram and said the company will remain "independent." However, many Instagram lovers took to Twitter to voice their distrust of Zuckerberg's laissez-faire stance. @Roadkillrefugee put the acquisition in historic perspective: "Instagram = 1 billion. Kodak = bankrupt."
