Intel plans to bury cable by letting you choose the channels you want
1/2/2013If you have cable TV, you probably spend as much time bemoaning the lack of shows you actually want to watch as you do searching for the remote. Tech giant Intel plans to change all that with a model that will allow you to subscribe to the specific channels or shows you want — instead of subsidizing someone else's "Jersey Shore" marathons. The company’s set-top box will pipe content to your TV regardless of Internet provider, but the service will also stream shows to any device connected to the Internet. It could be the biggest thing to happen to sitting on your ass since the La-Z-Boy. [Source]
