Interactive ad lets bystanders 'drag' an abusive man away
5/7/2012A powerful new interactive ad hopes to show that sometimes it just takes a phone call to help a victim of domestic abuse. The UK's National Centre for Domestic Violence launched their "Drag Him Away" campaign in London's Euston Station. One video screen shows a woman being verbally abused by a loudmouthed, finger-pointing man, next to a text command to "Use your phone to stop this now." Watch the video to see what happens next. Although real-life situations won't end with a finger swipe across a smartphone screen, the ad does illustrate that, if you've witnessed a woman being abused, choosing to get involved by calling the right authorities can make a huge difference.
Would you step in to report domestic violence?
