We like big boobs, and we're willing to pay to get them

A new survey of plastic surgery procedures has just come out, and it will tell you something you already knew: Americans are obsessed with big boobs. Breast augmentations are only the second-most popular procedure worldwide, behind lipoplasty (fat suction). And, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons report the high rank of boob jobs is largely thanks to Americans' enthusiasm for a bigger cup size. Augmentations have, in fact, tripled between 1997 and 2011 — probably a result of the FDA's decision to permit silicon implants. Other stats indicate that not all Americans are created equal in this preference. West Coast and so-called red states drive many more of the implant surgeries than "East Coast blue states."[Source]
