London Underground rolls eyes at Apple Maps, offers paper maps instead

9/21/2012

Check out this official message on an information board at a London Underground station. The poster advises Apple iOS 6 users to pick up an old-fashioned map at the ticket office. Why? Because Apple's fancy-schmancy Maps app kind of sucks. You know it's bad when one of the world's biggest tech companies drives its most up-to-date users to go back to paper (does anyone under the age of 20 even know how to read a paper map?). We're hoping Londoners take the city up on its map offer, since if they follow the app's directions, they might end up in the Thames when they're aiming for Big Ben. Oh, Apple, what have you wrought?
