Iowa politician speaks up for oppressed dogfighting community

8/1/2012

As we gnash and wail about the plight of minorities, underprivileged kids, the homeless, and other people with their hands out, the question must be asked: Who’s thinking of good, American dogfighting enthusiasts? Luckily, that fine sector of society does have a champion: Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa), who has been whining about an amendment to the Federal farm bill which would make organized dog fights a criminal offense. King said that people’s priorities were out of whack, because no one objects to humans boxing. “There’s something wrong with the priorities of people who think like that,” he said. Apparently he missed the part where humans go into the ring by their own free will, not for the amusement and profit of self-serving and greedy masters. Well, except those managed by Don King. (We’re just kidding Don, baby, you know we love you). [Source]
