As Mideast battles rage, Israeli troops post on Instagram

As the conflict between Hamas and Israel rages, a 21st-century corollary is also taking place, with Israel tweeting its operations in Gaza and Israel Defense Forces soldiers posting images on Instagram. The images, including the photos in this gallery, have drawn a decidedly mixed response — some people see the shared portraits as candid moments of downtime, others are criticizing the posts as insensitive.
