It should take only 10 hours to eat this 28-pound sandwich
5/25/2012If you thought the Brits weren't renowned for their culinary creativity, this 28-pound sandwich might change your mind (or not). Whipped up by British chef Tristan Welch to launch reality show "Man v. Food Nation," the world's meatiest sandwich is more than a foot high and took more than four hours to assemble. The ingredients list alone is enough to induce a coronary: There are 40 cuts of meat, including such delicatessen standbys as boiled ham and roast beef, as well as the more eclectic bratwurst and smoked venison. It's estimated that the sandwich would take 10 hours to eat -- but it's the digestive process we're really worried about.
