Pittsburgh premiere of new Tom Cruise movie postponed after shooting
12/15/2012Paramount Pictures has made a statement that "out of honor and respect for the families of the victims" the Pittsburgh premiere of "Jack Reacher" planned for Saturday night will be postponed. No new premiere date has been set before the movie opens nationally Dec. 21, and even then many may find it hard to stomach a violent action movie in light of recent events. "Jack Reacher" is Tom Cruise's first movie to debut since his very public divorce with Katie Holmes, and a "proclamation ceremony" with Cruise, Pennsylvania's governor and Pittsburgh's mayor had been planned. Pittsburgh is not known for its movie premieres but was the location where "Jack Reacher" was filmed. [Source]
