Grinnell player scores a record-breaking 138 points in a game of hoops
11/21/2012We’ll have what he’s having, please. Grinnell College sophomore Jack Taylor racked up an incredible 138 of his team’s 179 points in a win over Faith Baptist College Tuesday night, smashing the previous collegiate record of 113 points set by Bevo Francis of Rio Grande in 1954. Unsurprisingly, for much of the game Taylor’s teammates just threw him the ball and watched him perform his magic. There may have been a higher power at play -- for the first time ever Taylor met with other players to read Bible verses before the game. "I gotta thank the man upstairs," he said afterward. [Source]
