Oversharing teen winds up in jail after drunken-driving Facebook post
1/4/2013This week's star of idiots helping police do their job: Jacob Cox-Brown of Astoria, Ore. The 18-year-old spent New Year's Day in jail after posting this thoughtful reflection on Facebook: "Drivin drunk… classic ;) but to whoever's vehicle i hit I am sorry. :P." Police had found two cars were hit around 1 a.m. and after two people informed them of Cox-Brown's post, officers discovered a vehicle at his house with damage that allegedly matched those cars. Cox-Brown was charged with failing to perform the duties of a driver but not with drunken driving, as his Facebook blabbing was not sufficient evidence that he was intoxicated, police said. [Source]
