S. African prez would help the needy, but he's got a palace to build

11/26/2012

If you pay attention to current events at all, you know huge parts of South Africa struggle with poverty. Luckily, the U.K. gave about $30.2 million in aid to the poor nation. If it hadn't, the president NEVER would have been able to spend the almost $28 million that was reportedly used for lavish upgrades to his palace. How could President Jacob Zuma justify building 31 new houses (as well as an underground bunker with lifts and a helipad, Astroturf sports fields, tennis courts and a gymnasium) with millions living in squalor, if it weren't for them? His poor exercise equipment would have gone to shambles! Thanks, Zuma, for making sure those valuable tax dollars weren't wasted on feeding people. [Source]
