Indiana Jones' 'Crystal Skull' sued, but for all the wrong reasons
12/8/2012Someone is finally taking on the creators of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," but sadly not for ruining a revered franchise. Dr. Jaime Awe is suing over the crystal skull, which the archaeologist says rightfully belongs to Belize. The original skull was taken out of the country by adventurer F.A. Mitchell-Hedges. Awe is suing Mitchell-Hedges’ heir holding the skull, and Lucasfilm, Disney and Paramount Pictures for using the skull's "likeness.” While Belize might want some of the $786 million the film earned, is any amount worth having your country permanently associated with such a terrible movie?
