Fishermen rescued off Colombian coast after three weeks lost at sea
12/23/2012A three-day fishing trip became a three-week nightmare for two Jamaicans, who were dramatically rescued off the coast of Colombia on Saturday. Everton Gregory and John Sobah planned a short fishing voyage off the southeast Jamaican coast, but after their engine died, a strong current swept them out to sea. The men survived by eating their raw fish and drinking the melted ice that had kept it fresh. The men ran out of fresh water several days before the Colombian navy rescued them last week. They suffered from severe dehydration, malnutrition and hypothermia. As if we needed to ask, Sobah told the media: "I'm not going to go fishing again. No way." [Source]
