James Blunt quitting music is 'Beautiful' news to Twitter

James Blunt announced he's retiring from the music biz after a stellar career that saw the 38-year-old rack up 18 million in album sales, five Grammy nominations and other assorted hardware, including two Brit Awards and a couple of MTV Music Video Awards. But Twitter's being, well, blunt about the ex-army officer's talent — or lack thereof —  with zingers like @ItsRyanSparrow's "James Blunt's announced he's no longer making music, i could have told him that 10 years ago," and @_davidcasey's "It's funny that he thinks he's still relevant." The "You're Beautiful" crooner's already endured endless jabs at his toffee-nosed upbringing, but today's tweets like "Beautiful news," have really got to sting.
