Time stands still as NBA cheerleader falls off her perch
11/14/2012Here's the punishing fall that put Orlando Magic cheerleader Jamie Woode in the hospital last night. The 31-year-old lost her footing and tumbled backward between the first and second quarters of the game against the New York Knicks, hitting her head on the court and ending up on her hands and knees. Sadly, no pompoms broke her fall, and paramedics quickly immobilized the former University of Central Florida cheerleader's neck and strapped her onto a stretcher. Wheeled away to the nervous applause of fans, the professional morale booster stayed in character, waving her arms and even blowing a kiss. We're cheering for you this time, Jamie! [Source]
