They do flying right: Japan Airlines to serve KFC on some flights

11/29/2012

Coming soon to a Japan Airlines flight near you — a Kentucky Fried Christmas. The Japanese are wild about the Colonel's Secret Recipe, and to capitalize on the fried chicken chain's popularity, Japan Airlines will serve KFC on several flights from Dec. 1-Feb. 28. The special — called "Air Kentucky" by the airline — is being offered on flights from Tokyo's Narita Airport to eight destinations — including New York, LA, London and Paris — as a second meal, and features a drumstick, a breast, "flat bread" and coleslaw (but no wing nor prayer) in packaging specifically tailored for the airline's promotion.
