Japanese company turns your bike into a DJ mixer
4/11/2012From Japan, the country that introduced and popularized the concept of portable music players (Sony's Walkman), and gave us sneakers that double as musical instruments, comes the latest off-the-wall, on-the-go music player -- a turntable bike. Cogoo, a Japanese bike-sharing service, has created the Turntable Rider, a kit that turns your bike into a mobile turntable. Attaching the kit turns wheels into turntable jog wheels that attach to the rims, a crossfader goes on the handlebars and the brakes acts as soundpads. The company has only produced a prototype, but will consider mass production if it receives more than 5,900 Facebook "Likes" on its website.
Would you buy a Turntable Rider kit?
