Dad kills masked intruder who turns out to be his teen son
9/28/2012When Jeffrey Giuliano received a phone call early Thursday morning from a next-door neighbor worried that someone was trying to break into her house, he grabbed a gun and went to investigate. The New Fairfield, Conn., resident then came across an intruder wearing a black ski mask who, police say, went at Giuliano with a "shiny weapon" held in his hand. Giuliano fired his gun in self-defense — and only discovered later that the intruder was his 15-year-old son Tyler, who was pronounced dead at the scene. "All in all it's a tragedy," said state police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance. [Source]
