SUV plows into fire truck, emphatically discrediting traffic reporter
11/16/2012While jokes about the credibility of TV weathermen are as old as black-and-white sets, traffic reporters usually get a pass. But the wonder of live television caught Jennifer Reyna of KPRC in Houston in the rarest of oops moments. As she declared an accident on Highway 288 was "going to clear up," an SUV crashed into a fire truck at the scene and flipped. Reyna may not have been able to see the footage, as newscasters often work in front of a "green screen" that only shows the image to viewers, but she took one for the team later and confessed she "took my eyes off for a split second." Call it a moving violation.
