Jessica Simpson's bikini-clad baby sparks outrage

Baby bikini backlash! Jessica Simpson has touched off a big, fat controversy with that photo she flashed on Katie Couric’s show Monday, showing her 4-month old daughter, Maxwell, in a modelishly suggestive pose while wearing a yellow hand-knit bikini over her diaper. The director of a British child welfare group, Kidscape, told the Daily Mail she found it “very disturbing to see a young baby presented to the world wearing a bikini," adding, “'baby bikinis' are totally inappropriate” and  “contribute to the sexualization and commercialization of childhood. We should not be compromising the sanctity of our children's early years." Yes, little Maxwell can decide whether or not to compromise her sanctity when she’s all grown up. [Source]
