Jet fuel pumped at NJ gas stations, sadly does not make cars fly
12/13/2012You might think that the nation's least patient drivers would be delighted to find their cars were filled with jet fuel instead of regular gasoline — but it turns out that the aviation mix just completely screws up their cars. At least three central New Jersey gas stations, one in Lawrence and two in Hamilton, have been closed after authorities discovered that aviation fuel was mistakenly delivered to their pumps. Given the refueling nightmare that partially crippled the state after superstorm Sandy, the sad truth is that this is actually a better overall gas situation than last month. [Source]
