JetBlue flies family letters to funeral of 6-year-old Newtown victim

12/17/2012

A Seattle-area mom named Victoria, or @vdog to her Twitter followers, is the aunt of 6-year-old Noah Pozner, one of the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary. His funeral is today, and on Sunday, Noah's parents asked his family members to write letters to be buried with the boy. Unable to get the letters to FedEx on a Sunday, Victoria tweeted several airlines to see if any of them could fly the letters — including a handmade card from Noah's 5-year-old cousin — to Connecticut. Within 10 minutes, JetBlue responded, asking how it could get in touch with the family. "It's the least we can do to help a family that's been so tragically affected," JetBlue tweeted. "We're honored to do it." [Source]
