'Tougher than a $2 steak' coach set to work day after heart surgery

11/16/2012

"Minor heart surgery" sounds like an oxymoron, right up there with "smart reality show" or "attractive Crocs." But San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh swears that the heart procedure he had yesterday was no big deal. The 48-year-old Harbaugh had experienced chest pains on Wednesday and was admitted to Stanford Hospital in California on Thursday after meeting with the team's doctors. A Niners' source said that the procedure was "precautionary" and that they expect Harbaugh to be back at practice today and on the sidelines for their Monday night clash with Chicago. "Coach Harbaugh always tells us, he's tougher than a $2 steak," linebacker Patrick Willis said. "We know he's going to be alright." [Source]
