Jimmy Carter takes credit (sort of) for Obama's second term
2/22/2013Jimmy Carter didn't manage to win a second term in the White House, but that's not keeping him from taking credit for President Obama winning one. The former POTUS says it was his grandson, James Carter, who dug up the video of Mitt Romney railing about the 47 percent, thus clinching Obama's victory. Carter told CNN's Piers Morgan that the President recently thanked his son for finding the telltale tape, and when Morgan suggested that the tape had decided the election, he happily agreed. "I think it was a major factor if not the major factor," Carter said, though he did admit that his position was "kind of … prejudiced." [Source]
