12/27/2012Move over, Christian Mortensen, previous holder of the title of world's oldest man ever, who died in 1998. Jiroemon Kimura just surpassed your record lifespan of 115 years 252 days. Kimura, whose longevity as the world's oldest man was acknowledged by Guinness World Records, lives with his son's family near Kyoto, Japan. He is only the third man on record to reach age 115. Born on April 19, 1897, Kimura worked for the postal service and has 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Asked the secret to his long life, he credits the sun, saying, "I am always looking up towards the sky." [Source]
