VP Biden swings by the Costco in DC, does a little shopping

Vice President Joe Biden brought his one-man party to the opening of Washington D.C.'s first Costco, where he roamed the aisles in search of books, Duraflame logs and a flat-screen TV, as well as some pies: "Biden did a loop of nearly the entire store, including bakery and frozen foods," according to the Washington Post. Biden's tour was led by Costco employee Ivey Stewart, who traded her efforts for a phone call from Biden to an unnamed friend of Stewart's; the Costco staffer responded by bursting into tears and getting a hug from the veep.
