Gunmaker says Bank of America sat on his cash
1/9/2013A U.S. gunmaker has a beef with Bank of America: Joe Sirochman of American Spirit Arms says the bank sat on his money and wouldn't release it to him. Like other gunmakers, Sirochman saw his sales skyrocket after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School — more than 500 percent in two weeks, he says. The bank, though, withheld the deposits "for further review." This isn't the first time Bank of America has been accused of not wanting to work with a gunmaker. But in this case, the bank says the problem was a customary review of "any spike in transaction volumes," and Sirochman says he's received most of his money. [Source]
