Joel Osteen, the televangelist with the perm and the bright pearly whites, is the victim of an online hoax claiming he's lost his faith and resigned from his own Lakewood Church. The website — which has a not-at-all-suspicious WordPress URL including the name "Joel Osten" — hosted a statement reportedly written by Osteen in which he expressed doubts about God. "I believe that the Bible is a fallible, flawed, highly inconsistent history book that has been altered hundreds of times," the statement read. "There is zero evidence the Bible is the holy word of God. There is zero evidence 'God' even exists." Osteen hasn't responded to the hoax and shows no sign of losing his religion. "Desire the praise of God more than the praise of people," he tweeted Monday. [Source]
