A Florida judge has denied one of the creepiest legal requests we've ever heard of, banning multimillionaire John Bailey Goodman from adopting his 42-year-old girlfriend. The Palm Beach man's cringe-inducing maneuver was apparently an attempt to shield his assets from the family of Scott Wilson, the 23-year-old that Goodman killed in a drunken car accident. (Goodman was sentenced to 16 years in jail for DUI manslaughter but appealed, posted $7 million bond and is currently on house arrest.) Under their adoption contract, Goodman had agreed to pay girlfriend Heather Hutchins more than $16 million, an agreement that was slammed by the judge as "a fraud on the court" and "reprehensible." We think that's legal speak for "Ewwww." [Source]
