Democratic party official likens Ryan to Nazi leader Goebbels

Today, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, a top California Democratic Party official – as part of an attack accusing Republicans of knowingly lying – compared vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan to the infamous Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. The comments, by California Democratic Party Chairman John Burton, couldn’t have come at a worse time for his party – it’s the day before the Democrats begin their nominating convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Following the totally not surprising uproar that ensued, Burton said “I did not call Republicans Nazis ...[if] Republicans are insulted by my describing their campaign tactic as the big lie – I most humbly apologize.”  [Source]
