John Cleese finds out meaning of life, sells Python stuff for divorce

1/21/2013

We are the knights who say ... alimony. Comedy legend John Cleese is being forced to sell bundles of Monty Python memorabilia to fund his third divorce. Items include the helmet of the taunting French soldier in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (the guy who threatened to "fart in your general direction") and photographs from the surrealist comedy troupe and "Fawlty Towers." Cleese needs cash for a nearly $20 million settlement with ex-bride Alyce Faye Eichelberger, who walked off with three years of alimony, a New York apartment and a house in London. If comedy is tragedy plus time, Cleese should be coming up with some very funny ideas after a horrific payout like that. [Source]
