Teen suspended for ominous Facebook post about dressing up as Santa
12/21/2012John George III needs to work on his timing. On Tuesday night, the Georgia teen posted what he thought was an obvious message on his Facebook page informing his fellow students at Crawford County High School of his annual ritual of dressing up as Santa and passing out candy. He wrote, "Students of cchs in for a big surprise tomorrow..." But one concerned parent thought the message sounded ominous and reported it. Police and school authorities, all on edge after last Friday's school shootings in Connecticut, hauled George in for questioning. Police found no wrongdoing, but the school suspended him and will hold a hearing. [Source]
