'Johnny Football' becomes first freshman to win Heisman Trophy
12/9/2012Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has already had a stellar season, with 43 touchdowns and 4,600 yards of total offense. On Saturday, he set another record, becoming the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy. Manziel, better known to his uncreative fans as "Johnny Football," beat Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o and Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein. Manziel was a heavy favorite in the Heisman voting, and when you watch the highlight video above, it's obvious why. The freshman led his team to a win over undefeated Alabama and routed other teams in the SEC. His season isn't done yet either: The Aggies take on Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 4.
