First image of former Marine jailed in Mexico released

For Jon Hammar, his endless summer continues to drag on. The former Marine has been locked up in a Mexican prison since August when he was arrested by authorities over his possession of an antique shotgun that belonged to his great-grandfather. Now, the first photo of Hammar since his arrest has been released, sent to his family from an anonymous email account. The image shows a dazed and haggard Hammar, shirtless and bearded with his leg in a chain. Hammar was headed to Costa Rica to surf with a friend, but was detained because Mexican authorities claimed the gun was a military weapon.[Source]
