You know that house carried by balloons in 'Up'? Some guy made one
11/19/2012Jonathan Trappe thinks you have to try everything you see in the movies. Trappe launched himself into the air yesterday in a perfect replica of the cartoon house in the movie "Up," attached to a zillion multicolored balloons like a real-life Carl Fredericksen at the Leon International Balloon Festival in Mexico. Impressed? It's all just a preview of Trappe's big stunt coming next summer: He plans to cross the Atlantic in a seven-foot lifeboat suspended by 365 helium balloons. Yes, a flying boat that will cruise 2,500 miles at an altitude of 18,000 to 25,000 feet. Doubters, beware: Trappe's already made history crossing the English Channel attached to a similar cluster of party favors. [Source]
