Friend of Belcher claims head trauma played a role in murder-suicide
12/2/2012As people close to them grapple for answers to the murder-suicide that claimed the lives of Kasandra Perkins and Jovan Belcher on Saturday, a friend of the Kansas City Chiefs player is suggesting that blows to the head Belcher sustained in a recent game compromised his mental state and that he was "dazed and suffering from short-term memory loss." The man contacted Deadspin, he said, to debunk reports that Perkins' staying out late at a concert Friday was at the root of the couple's fight. "A combination of alcohol, concussions, and prescription drugs put him in a state that he would not otherwise be in," the friend insisted. [Source]
