'Dallas' remake to tip its 10-gallon hat to J.R. Ewing with funeral
12/12/2012Who will shoot J.R.'s funeral? The new incarnation of "Dallas" is planning an appropriate send-off for J.R. Ewing now that Larry Hagman, who so deliciously played the villainously conniving oil baron on both the original '80s drama and its recent TNT revival, has died. The iconic character's funeral will occur during the revived drama's upcoming second season. Hagman died of throat cancer the day after Thanksgiving at age 81 in Dallas, surrounded by some of his original "Dallas" co-stars, but it's not clear how Ewing will die. Dramatically, we'd imagine.
