Judge sentences cops to Thanksgiving dinner at reckless driver's house
11/8/2012For a driver who hit a police officer directing traffic, Thanksgiving just became a lot more work than it was going to be. A judge in Jackson Township, Ohio, sentenced Valerie A. Rodgers, who pleaded guilty in October to felony assault, to one year of probation for knocking over officer Eric Martzolf as he directed traffic during a summer marathon in the town. But then he also ordered her to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for Martzolf and two other officers who are on leave or unable to work. No word yet on whether the officers will all agree to stuffing and cranberry sauce as their holiday sides. [Source]
