Julian Assange's mom thinks he'd make an 'awesome' senator
2/15/2013After months of conjecture, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has officially launched his campaign to take a senate seat in his native Australia. Never mind that he's cooped up in Ecuador's embassy in London. According to Australian law, one need not actually be in the country to vote on its laws. His doting mom, Christine, confirmed the news, saying her special little guy would make an "awesome" senator. And she's not the only one who thinks so. According to an online poll on an Australian news website late last year, he stands a good chance of being elected. Seventy-two percent of respondents indicated they would vote for him. Struth!
