Bullied bus woman starts anti-bullying foundation to help others
8/22/2012Remember Karen Klein, the bullied school bus monitor whose video-captured plight went viral, turning her into a national cause? More than 32,000 people donated ($703,873!) to help Klein take a vacation, prompting calls for her to give the money back. Now the 68-year-old says that in addition to using the cash to retire and take care of her family, she's paying some of it forward by starting the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation. Klein is seeding the foundaton with $100,000, in the hopes others will donate too. If we suggested that she perhaps donate a bit more of the nearly three-quarters of a million she pocketed, would that make us a bully? [Source]
